Line shopping is a simple way bettors can build their bankroll over an extended period of time. If you have account at multiple books, you can routinely get a half point or full point better on spreads and totals, lay less juice and get better payouts. Not only will you save small portions of units by getting better lines, you will also turn pushes into wins or losses into pushes every now and then.
The 'Best Odds' feature in the app allows users to easily see which sportsbook of theirs is offering the best line.
If you do not have any sportsbooks saved in your settings, your 'Best Odds' section will look like the picture below when you go to track a pick. These are consensus lines, which do not show any book logo or abbreviation in the lower right corner of each square.
To add the books you have accounts at, hit the right arrow and click 'Configure Books'.
First, choose a primary book and then add up to four books in the 'Compare' tab.
Once you're done, hit save. The books you selected should all show up like the picture below. If you need to delete or change any books, you can click the 'Edit' button in the top right corner of the page.
At this point, refresh your app and go back to make your picks. You will see sportsbook logos or two letter abbreviations in the bottom right corner of each selection. These tell you which book offers the best odds for each of the possible wagers.
These would be your best choices in the example above:
- PointsBet: Jets spread (+15, -115), over (44.5, -110), Ravens moneyline (-850)
- FanDuel: Ravens spread (-14.5, -110), Jets moneyline (+660)
- William Hill: Under (45, -110)
You can look at each individual book's offerings by clicking the right arrow.
